Cultural Heritage, Democracy and Enterprise
The intersection of our society, rapid economic restructuring and a region where the Swedish Industry and welfare society persist in the form of habits, traditions and way of thinking is an important part of the Mid-Sweden University research under the profile Heritage, democracy and entrepreneurship. Research questions rooted in the regional environment and the results may be relevant to regional development. The research profile includes perspectives from a variety of subjects that focus on contemporary social problems and human desire to find constructive solutions to them. One goal is to examine the current social development in a longer-range perspective, from the industrial society's development and maturation to the contemporary society, stressing both the social and economic perspectives.
